Our Chief Operating Officer of 32 years, Carmell Tait, passed away on May 7, 2020.
She has left an indelible mark in the world and in the way people with complex needs are valued and supported to have the best life possible. A humble person by nature, rooted in social justice, she was most proud of her work to repatriate people from institution to community.
It is because of her passion that we have created the Carmell E. Tait Advocacy and Social Justice Fund.
Donations will be invested in this endowment fund, and the interest earned will be disbursed to further Carmell’s commitment to advocacy and social justice, to help fund initiatives and efforts that will help people and their families.
