100% of PHSS Staff Fully Vaccinated Against COVID

PHSS is happy to announce that as of today, 100% of the staff are fully vaccinated against COVID.
“At PHSS, we have a duty of care to the individuals we support, many of whom have complex medical needs and are at a higher risk of complications if they get COVID,” explains PHSS Executive Director Brian Dunne. “To help keep everyone safe, our vaccine mandate has gone into effect today. This mandate requires all visitors to PHSS facilities and staff to show proof of full COVID vaccination. Only fully vaccinated individuals will be granted access to our facilities.”
This mandate brings PHSS in alignment with vaccine requirements in other healthcare settings, including long term care homes.
“We understand COVID restrictions are frustrating for some people,” says Dunne. “However, the health and safety precautions PHSS has put in place are to help keep the people we support safe. Their wellbeing continues to be our number one priority.”
PHSS’ vaccine mandate is just one of the layers of defence to help keep its community safe. Other safety measures include COVID-19 screening, mask wearing, social distancing in shared spaces as well as reminding staff and visitors to stay home and get tested when feeling unwell.
Protecting the health and safety of the people we support has been the driving force for all of PHSS’ actions related to COVID.
