Your Giving Tuesday Impact
A gift to PHSS Foundation will enrich the lives of people with complex medical, physical, and/or developmental needs. Although PHSS receives provincial funding, it doesn’t meet all the needs of supported individuals. PHSS Foundation strives to bridge the gap.
PHSS Foundation has taken on large projects such as building the Community Place North building, which is now the home of one of our day programs. The previous location used was not accessible and needed updating – not ideal for the day program participants.
They have also provided funding for VR headsets so that people we support can participate in Love the World, Experience the World – a PHSS project that creates individually personalized virtual experiences for people with disabilities to fulfill lifelong dreams that otherwise may not be possible.

WHAT IS GIVING TUESDAY?
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday.
